PARENTS TEACHERS MEETING (PTM) on 23rd September 2017 at 9 am. PUJA VACATION (Students Departure on 23rd September 2017 after PTM and Students Reporting on 7th October 2017).


Kaziranga English Academy is set in the midst of the verdant hills, in the southern fringe of Guwahati - the gateway to the North-East. It has a sprawling school campus against a spectacular backdrop of misty hills; appropriately located away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Academy was established on 02nd April, 2003 to enable it to confirm to the standards and requirements of modern residential education; it in particular to incorporate the healthier features of the English Public Schools and to integrate that education with the Indian environment. The main objective of the school, a co-educational and completely residential one, is to mould its pupils in such a way that they become capable of facing all the challenges of life, be it physical, mental and social with the right attitude.

EVENTS - 2017-18

The Academic Session 2017-18 commenced from 18th April, 2017. The new students admitted were heartily welcomed to the KEA family. Academic classes and co-curricular activity classes commenced from 19th April 2017. 

The 1st Cycle of the Inter- House Soft Board Competition was held on 30th April 2017 on the topic " Depression - Let's Talk." The topic is WHO's campaign slogan for 2017.  

Admission for Class XI ( Sc, Hum, Com) is going on. Classes for Class XI has commenced from 2nd May 2017. The Inter- House Recitation Competition ( English & Hindi ) was held on 13th May 2017 in three Categories - Sub Junior ( IV - VII), Junior (VIII - IX), Senior (X - XII)

Inter - House Football Competition was held from 6th May 2017 for Junior Boys, Girls & Senior Boys.

Investiture Ceremony was held on 18th May 2017 in the Morning Assembly. The student council members were administered the oath by the Principal in a formal ceremony. The student council under the leadership of Head Boy, Mst. Raktim Saikia and Head Girl , Ms. Shruti Chakma along with the Captains and Vice- Captains took the oath to abide by the school rules and hold the school motto - " Future flourishes here......"They were honoured with badges and sashes.

Eight boys went to participate in the Rishal Kalita Memorial 5th All Kamrup District Swimming Championship 2017 accompanied by the swimming coach, Mr.Kalindra Haloi held at R.G.Baruah Sports Complex , Guwahati on 21st & 22nd May,2017.

Inter-House Debate Competition was held on 27th May 2017. The Competition was held in two categories - Junior ( IV - IX) & Senior (X - XII). The topics on which the debate took place were " Junk food should be banned from schools" and " Modern Gadgets have made us their slaves ".

Nine students from Class X, XI,& XII went to Pragjyoti ITA Cultural Complex, Machkhowa to participate in the Xtra Premium Quiz 2017 organised by The Hindu & Indian Oil Corporation.

In the coming week the students will be sent to Accoland in groups.

Annual Sports Celebration in KEA 2016-17

Kaziranga English Academy, known for its constant endeavor to promote games and sports, celebrated its most awaited Annual Sports Event for the session 2016-17 with zeal, enthusiasm and sprit. This grand event began with Flag hoisting by Honble Principal Jaya Chakrawarty ma’am which was followed by school songs and scintillating March part exhibited by students of each of the four houses. Oath taking ceremony for maintain sportsman sprit was led by acting Head Boy of KEA Lobsang Phuntso of class XI Sci.

The school gave every possible opportunity to every student to prove their ability and talent through various sports categories.

Day 1 – First day Sports schedule began with Ball Carrying Competition for senior boys & girls. This event was followed by 100 m race, 400 m race and spoon and marble race for the Jr. boys & girls. The day ended with Musical chair Competition for Jr. & Sub Jr and High Jump for boys and girls of all categories.

Day 2 – Second day of the Sports event started with daring 1500 m race, 800 m race (for Senior Sr.) Obstacle race, these were followed by pre- scheduled shuttle race, three legged race, 4 x 100 relay race, Needle & thread race at last, the ended with the distribution of medals and certificate’s to the winners by honorable principal ma’am at the end of the day.

Day 3 – The 3rd or final day of the annual sports event stated with historic marathon race like previous year, Garchuk via Ahomgaon in which the students have displayed their indomitable sports sprit by completing almost 8 km distance with a very short period of time.

This event of attraction was followed by 200 m race for both Sr, Sec Boys and girls. The most exciting and enjoyable events of the day were tug of war, sack race and balloon bursting competition for respective categories.

The event of great importance came to end on 3rd December with the distributions of medals and certificates by honorable principal Ms. Jaya Chakrawarty ma’am. At the end the principal of the school gave a short speech highlighting the importance or games and sports to encourage the students to engage more and more on regular basis to sustain intellectual and physical good health.


Five students of Class XII have cleared the JEE Main 2017. They are Tenzin Dolkar, Arjun Ronghang, C. Zorinsanga, Tarup Haphila and Ankita Marak.
