Residential and Health Organisation

KEA provides all kinds of care and comfort as far as accommodation in concerned. It is the only school in the entire North-Eastern region to have completely air-conditioned hostels. In the Primary and Secondary sections, twelve beds are provided in one dormitory with attached bathrooms and toilets. Each dormitory has Dorm In-charge and an Ayah to look after the students. The Senior Secondary section for the boys is located in a different building. Class XI & XII sections have A/C rooms, with four beds each.

The Academy has a spacious dining hall; providing sitting capacity to 300 students in the Non-Veg Section and 100 students in the Veg. Section. Food, wholesome, varied and balanced is cooked in Indian style under the supervision of an experienced Mess Manager. Menus are planned with due regard to the principles of dietetics. Meals distributions are supervised by Teachers and other staff members. Wastage of food is not encouraged at all. All the bakery products are made by the schools bakery only.

The Academy has a regular visiting doctor, assisted by well trained residential nurses. There is a well-equipped infirmary with two eight bedded isolation wards (separate for boys and girls). Health statistics of students are regularly taken and records maintained. In special cases, students are taken to the local Nursing Home for necessary treatment .


To introduce the child into the world of information technology, the Computer Labs are equipped with the latest hardware and software facilities, which provides ample opportunity to the students for learning and developing computer skills. High speed internet connection, to selected classes, is also available for the students so that they can search any kind of educational topics.


The school provides a well-stocked, spacious and up-to-date library comprising a collection of more than 3500 books with a proper reading environment. The Library comprises of a collection of classics, modern fiction, encyclopedias, biographies, autobiographies, motivation books, natural history, science, sports, G.K. books and other books covering a wide range of topics to introduce the child to the wondrous world around him. The school subscribes 10 newspapers and 20 periodicals; this enables the students in cultivating good reading habits.


Tuck Shop

The school has a well stocked Tuck shop. Varied items of students liking are kept. Students having their credit account are issued with tucks on weekends and on Sundays / Holidays, as per school schedule. Therefore, parents are requested not to send / bring / give any tucks to their wards once they leave / meet their children in the school. Only fresh / dry fruits are permitted to be given to the children by parents/ guardians.
